Fourth Trimester is committed to providing quality care to your children, after all they are the most important people in your life and that’s why we only employ staff that have a passion for working with children. Our babysitters are not passive bystanders when looking after your children, they love getting down on the floor and playing with dolls and cars, reading stories, painting, playing dress ups, doing jig saw puzzles and playing hide and seek . Our aim is to have the right mix between routine and good time for the children so it is a win/win for both parents and children alike.
A Babysitter is a Child care professional or Nanny who is available to Baby-sit your children. Most Babysitters have a minimum of 2 years experience and have to meet the screening criteria of Fourth Trimester and have a current police clearance check and First Aid certificate. Some Babysitters will have a qualification in Early Childhood development such as a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services.
The Babysitter usually works after 6pm through the night for anywhere from 4-8 hours. Babysitters have slightly lower rates than a day Nanny as they are assisting the children with their evening wind down routine such as:
Meal preparation
Assistance with feeding
Bathing
Nappy or toileting
Story and bed
Full supervision
The Babysitter is on duty whilst the parents are out to dinner or a function and is usually not required to do regular Nanny duties once the children are asleep. The Babysitter is required to resettle and attend to the children throughout the evening and provide information to the parents as required upon their return.
We have babysitters that are available at short notice (under 3 hours) for those unexpected times that you are required to be somewhere in a hurry.
